The Khan Khentii Theatre has expanded its repertoire with over 40 full-length productions, including "Melodies of the Steppe," "Ballad of Khan Khentii," "Ballad of the Snowy Altai," "A Century of Echoes," "Folk Melodies of Wisdom," "Mongolia of the Steppe," "Ballad of the Wise Khan," "Song of Burkhan Khaldun," and "The Historic Homeland."

Additionally, the theatre has staged numerous theatrical and musical productions, such as "The Great Destiny" (a sung drama), "The Sword Tempered by Onon" (a folk dance drama), "The Path of Life" (a musical dance performance), "Eternal Blue Sky" (a theatrical concert), "Frost of the Troubled Times" (a musical), "The Four Fateful Heads" (a rock musical), "The Three Fateful Heads" (a national opera), and children's musical productions like "The Cat’s House," "A Kid Named Goat," and "The Talking Tree."

In 1985, at the "Golden Tulip" National Folk Arts Festival organized by Mongolian Radio, the theatre’s musicians Ts. Dugar, A. Batzaya, D. Darkhanbaatar, S. Narmandakh, and D. Lkhamsuren won First Place.

In 1987, at the First National Professional Dance and Choreography Competition,

  • D. Sanjaasuren placed Second in the Choreography category

  • D. Oyunchimeg, D. Batjargal, and Ts. Oyunbaatar placed Third in the Small Ensemble Dance category

In 1989, at the 13th World Student Festival in Pyeonghwa, South Korea, where 105 countries participated, the theatre’s "Barga" dance won a Gold Medal.

In 2002, at the Folk Arts Festival in Beijing, China, the theatre’s dancers were awarded a Gold Medal.

In 2005, at the 9th Asia-Pacific Folk Arts Festival in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, China, the theatre’s artists performed successfully and received the "Golden Cup" award.

In 2007, the theatre’s music and dance troupe toured Western Europe and performed in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Luxembourg. At the "Oproakelda-IS" International Dance Festival, the theatre received "Golden Cup" awards and honorary certificates.

In 2011, 2012, and 2016, at the State Competition for Professional Solo and Small Ensemble Dancers, organized in honor of State Honored Artist and National Award Winner Ts. Sevdjid,

  • The theatre’s "Tashuur" dance won a Special Prize

  • The Duet Dance Competition earned Third Place

  • The "Artistic Design" dance won the Grand Prix.

In 2015 and 2019, at the T. E. Gergosova International Dance Competition in Ulan-Ude, Russia,

  • The theatre’s "Artistic Design" and "The Four Fateful Heads" dance performances won First and Second Place.

  • The "Tashuur" dance, choreographed by D. Tsogt-Erdene, won the Grand Prix and the Family Honor Award.

In 2019, at the Wonju International Folk Arts Festival in South Korea, the theatre’s dance troupe placed Third among 122 competing countries.

In 2006, 2012, 2018, and 2022, the Khan Khentii Theatre was awarded "Best Cultural Institution of Khentii Province."

In 2021, at the D. Gombo Memorial Morin Khuur Competition, the theatre’s artists secured Second Place.

Over the years, the theatre has competed in the National Professional Theatre and Ensemble Competitions seven times, consistently securing First and Second Place awards.

 

In 2021, at the "Music 21-21" National Competition for Theatre and Orchestra Musicians, organized by the Mongolian Ministry of Culture, the Khan Khentii Theatre’s musicians secured Second Place for their performances of "The Historic Path" by D. Tuvshinsaikhan and "Cinema Paradiso" by Ennio Morricone.
